THE TIKIS AT KOKOMO'S
|

| Jim Mazzotta was called upon to help design a new restaurant that featured a tiki theme at the Mall of America in Minneapolis. Famous Dave Anderson, owner of 80 plus award winning BBQ restaurants across the country, had the vision of recreating tiki lounges of the 40s with a modern twist. After many months of design work, sketches were brought to vivid, three dimensional life with the help of some very talented sculptors. | ||||||||||||||

| Numerous sketches were made for various party gods. 4 were finally chosen, one of which was the Food God. From tight pencil rendering, a full color painting was done. | ||||||||||||||

Using the painting above as a guide, the sculpture is then painted and ready for display, below. Famous Dave and Jim Mazzotta stand by their handiwork at the Mall of America. | |||||||||||||
